The everlasting memory of 5 Pointz
This past Tuesday, November 19, 5 Pointz was painted white by the owners. The decision was shocking to all of us. But, I understand that street art is not meant to be permanent, it’s constantly changing. I was lucky enough to visit Queens, NY 3 days before it was erased and take these photographs.

I am completely in love with this photo. I love photography because long after a moment is gone and perhaps we forget things, the photo never does. Looking at this photo and its details reminds me how amazing it was to walk through the mountains in Ireland.

This photograph is the same as my previous post. It’s a 30 second exposure with my Ansco camera. I painted liquid emulsion into a watercolor paper and enlarged the photograph to achieve this result. It is a lot of fun because you have to do everything in the dark room. It’s like painting blind and you achieve different results everytime.
